Nityotsav Time Changed to 11:30 AM Tomorrow (March 1st) due to Forecasted Bad Weather

This is an announcement email for 9th annual Nrityotsav 2014 timings changes. Hindu temple cultural committee is advancing the event timings to 11.45 am(instead of 3:45 pm) Saturday March 1st due to forecasted bad weather in the early evening.
Agenda:
11.30 am - Seating /Social hour
11.45 am - 3.00 pm – Nrityotsav ( including Inauguration & Performances)

Nrityotsav team have contacted meteorologists both Rusty Lord (WOWT)and Matt Serwe(KETV) and the forecast is that snow starts only after 3.00 pm and that the roads will be clean.
The out of town artists have already started arriving in Omaha and so, the best available option has been to move the event timings to Saturday morning 11.45 am instead of 3.45 pm. As the meteorologist indicated the commute back will be comfortable after the event at 3.00 pm.
We kindly seek community’s best audience support as usual as cultural committee and Nrityotsav team have been preparing for the event for the past 4 months. As the timings have been moved we are providing snacks and refreshments for all. We also sincerely apologize for any impact to your personal schedules.

Just a Reminder. Maha Shivarathri will be celebrated on Thursday February 27th 2014 at the Hindu Temple from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Sirigandha Kannada Sangha will be preparing the menu mentioned below. We are looking forward for your Assistance in Preparing/Serving the Prasadam. We request help from volunteers (Both Male & Female) for vegetable cutting and any other preparation activities (Kalasa Decoration, Decoration Lights, Sponsor Packets & so on....) on Wednesday February 26th beginning at 7:00p.m at the Hindu Temple Kitchen area.

We did get an Splendid response for Feed the Hunger Project. So far we have 25 Families agreed to pledge for this great cause. My sincere thanks to everyone who participated. If each family can sponsor $10, one time a year, then Sirigandha Kannada Sangha would be able to feed once a year. If anyone is interested to sponsor further than mentioned, they are welcome as well.
Please bring either Cash/Check & deliver to either Ganesh/Deepa/Ramesh, while you are coming for the Maha Shivaratri Program, we would really appreciate it. We would be able to feed as early as April/May. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact by email or phone.

Feed the Hunger Project

Sirigandha Kannada Sangha Nebraska is planning to introduce "Feed the Hunger" project in Omaha. Currently the Indian Association of Nebraska (IAN) has been doing this for quite sometime on a Monthly basis at the local Stephen Center. They are distributing approx.15 pizzas, a tray of fried rice and pop. Personally I think this may be a great way to get involved with the local community. If we, together as a group can raise $200 and give it to IAN, they will sponsor that month's food from our group.
This can be either done by our Sirigandha Kannada Sangha Nebraska (SKSN) or if anyone is interested, we can join together as a group and do it on a yearly basis as well. Please let me know your opinion. This is not Mandatory. We can sort out the details later.
