ಕನ್ನಡ ಬಳಗದ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ನಮಸ್ಕಾರ! ಮಹಾಶಿವರಾತ್ರಿಯನ್ನು Friday, Feb 24, 2017 ರಂದು, ಸಂಜೆ ೫ ರಿಂದ ರಾತ್ರಿ ೧೦ ವರೆಗೆ ಹಿಂದೂ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದು ಸಿರಿಗಂಧ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಂಘದ ಸೇವೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಕನ್ನಡ ಬಳಗವು ಕಳೆದ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ವರುಷಗಳಿಂದ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಾಶಿವರಾತ್ರಿಯ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸಾದವನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸಿ ಭಕ್ತರಿಗೆ ವಿತರಿಸುವ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ಹೊತ್ತಿದೆ.
ಪ್ರಸಾದವನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸಲು ಹಿಂದಿನ ದಿನ (Thursday, Feb 23 ನೆ ದಿನಾಂಕ, ಸಂಜೆ ೬ ಗಂಟೆಯಿಂದ) ನೆರವು ಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಶಿವರಾತ್ರಿಯ ದಿನವೂ ಪ್ರಸಾದ ತಯಾರಿಸಲು ಹಾಗೂ ಅಡುಗೆಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ವಚ್ಚ ಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಕೂಡ ನೆರವು ಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ಇದಕ್ಕೆಲ್ಲ ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈಲಾದ ಸಹಾಯ ನೀಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕೋರುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಲು ಬಯಸುವವರು ಈ ಮೊಬೈಲ್ ಸಂಖೆಗೆ ಕರೆ ಮಾಡಿ 402-915-0757.

Mahashivarathri will be celebrated on Friday, Feb 24, 2017 at Hindu Temple from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM.) Sirigandha Kannada Sangha will be helping Hindu Temple in preparing and distributing prasada as we did in the past years. We are looking forward for your help and support in preparing the Prasada. We request help from volunteers for vegetable cutting and any other preparation activities on Thursday, Feb 23 starting around 6:00p.m at Hindu Temple Kitchen area.
Please bring your own cutting boards, knives and peelers to assist, you can call us at 402-915-0757 for any details. Also we request help from Volunteers on Friday Feb 24th from 7 AM to 3 PM for food preparation and between 3 PM and 5 PM to clean the kitchen Area.

ಕನ್ನಡ ಬಳಗದ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ನಮಸ್ಕಾರ! ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷದಂತೆ ಈ ಸಲವೂ ಶ್ರೀ. ಪುರಂದರ ದಾಸರ ಆರಾಧನೆಯನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ಬಳಗದ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೆಲವು ಕನ್ನಡೇತರ ಕಲಾವಿದರಿಂದ ಪುರಂದರ ದಾಸ ವಿರಚಿತ ಕೃತಿಗಳ ಗಾಯನ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನ ಪೂಜೆಯ ಬಳಿಕ ಎಲ್ಲ ಭಕ್ತರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಸಾದ ಲಭ್ಯವಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ನಂತರ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಮತ್ತೆ ಮುಂದುವರಿಯುತ್ತದೆ. ತಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಗೊಳಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಮ್ಮ ಕೋರಿಕೆ!

will perform Shri Purandara Dasa kritis. Prasada will also be served in
the noon after pooja. Program will continue post lunch. We request all

ಇದೆ ತಿಂಗಳ ೨೩ಕ್ಕೆ ಯುಗಾದಿ ಸಮಾರಂಭ ಹಿಂದೂ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಲಿದೆ. ತಮಗೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಸ್ವಾಗತ ಸುಸ್ವಾಗತ!
ಈ ಸಲದ ಸಮಾರಂಭದ ಬಹು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಆಕರ್ಷಣೆ, ಕನ್ನಡ ನಾಡಿನ ಕೋಗಿಲೆ ಅಂತಲೇ ಹೆಸರು ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಖ್ಯಾತ ಗಾಯಕಿ, ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ. ಬಿ. ಆರ್. ಛಾಯಾ ಅವರ ಗಾನಸುಧೆ! ಅವ್ಯಾಹತವಾಗಿ ಎರಡು ಗಂಟೆಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಸುಮಧುರ ಹಾಡುಗಳನ್ನು, ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಂದಲೇ ಕೇಳುವ ಭಾಗ್ಯ ನಮ್ಮದು!
ಇದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸಂಘದ ವಿವಿಧ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಹಾಗೂ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಡುವ ವಿವಿಧ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು ನಡೆಯಲಿವೆ. ಅದಾದ ನಂತರ ರುಚಿ ರುಚಿಯಾದ ಭೂರಿ ಭೋಜನ! ಸ್ವರ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ಮೂರೆ ಗೇಣು! ಖಂಡಿತ ಬರುವಿರಿ ತಾನೇ?

The main attaraction of this year's function is the singing performance by the famous Kannada Singer Smt. B. R. Chaya, who is affectionately known as "Nightingale of Karnataka". She will be performing live for 2 hours! There are various other cultural programs performed by other members and kids of Sirigandha Kannada Sangha. This will be followed by a delecious food! Do attend and make it a big success!!

We have divided performances into Traditional & NonTraditional. Within each section we ordered it by age. We will be sending the Final List of the Cultural programs shortly.
We request all the participants to be present on time for the performance else their program will be moved to the end of the list.

IAN is planning to host the Rythms on Nov 15th, due to Lack of Planning on their side.
IAN has requested both Sirigandha Kannada Sangha and the Tamil Sangha to change the Diwali days as they have not been able to reserve the school for Rhytms, due to lack of planning and inspite of sending couple of reminders. Tamil sangha are now celebrating Diwali on Oct 25th instead of Nov 8th and IAN has requested Sirigandha to take that date (Nov 8th). Here are the options.
A. Celebrate Diwali on the Nov 8th and Rythms with IAN on the Nov 15th .
B. Continue to hold our Diwali on the Nov 15th as it has been decided from a long time.

Nityotsav Time Changed to 11:30 AM Tomorrow (March 1st) due to Forecasted Bad Weather

This is an announcement email for 9th annual Nrityotsav 2014 timings changes. Hindu temple cultural committee is advancing the event timings to 11.45 am(instead of 3:45 pm) Saturday March 1st due to forecasted bad weather in the early evening.
Agenda:
11.30 am - Seating /Social hour
11.45 am - 3.00 pm – Nrityotsav ( including Inauguration & Performances)

Nrityotsav team have contacted meteorologists both Rusty Lord (WOWT)and Matt Serwe(KETV) and the forecast is that snow starts only after 3.00 pm and that the roads will be clean.
The out of town artists have already started arriving in Omaha and so, the best available option has been to move the event timings to Saturday morning 11.45 am instead of 3.45 pm. As the meteorologist indicated the commute back will be comfortable after the event at 3.00 pm.
We kindly seek community’s best audience support as usual as cultural committee and Nrityotsav team have been preparing for the event for the past 4 months. As the timings have been moved we are providing snacks and refreshments for all. We also sincerely apologize for any impact to your personal schedules.

Just a Reminder. Maha Shivarathri will be celebrated on Thursday February 27th 2014 at the Hindu Temple from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Sirigandha Kannada Sangha will be preparing the menu mentioned below. We are looking forward for your Assistance in Preparing/Serving the Prasadam. We request help from volunteers (Both Male & Female) for vegetable cutting and any other preparation activities (Kalasa Decoration, Decoration Lights, Sponsor Packets & so on....) on Wednesday February 26th beginning at 7:00p.m at the Hindu Temple Kitchen area.

We did get an Splendid response for Feed the Hunger Project. So far we have 25 Families agreed to pledge for this great cause. My sincere thanks to everyone who participated. If each family can sponsor $10, one time a year, then Sirigandha Kannada Sangha would be able to feed once a year. If anyone is interested to sponsor further than mentioned, they are welcome as well.
Please bring either Cash/Check & deliver to either Ganesh/Deepa/Ramesh, while you are coming for the Maha Shivaratri Program, we would really appreciate it. We would be able to feed as early as April/May. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact by email or phone.
