Purandaradasa Aradhana Mahaprasad Help Needed

The Purandara Dasa Aradhana is on 9th Feb 2013 and will be giving out
boxed Mahaprasad on that day. We need to prepare about 125 to 150
boxes ready by 12:00 noon. I wanted to request for volunteers to help
prepare Mahaprasad for the day

The Menu: (is not yet fixed) but few suggestions:

Lemon Rice or Puliyogere - 40 cups ( I will make 15 cups out of this)
Curd Rice- 25 cups
Usli or Aloo palya(dry) or beans/cabbage palya
1 sweet (I will volunteer to make this)
Pickle

Nothing is fixed as yet. Please feel free to make or give suggestions.

The temple will provide the boxes for food.  We also need volunteers
to put the food in boxes on that day (it is a Saturday!). Please let
me know your thoughts. Send me an email or call me anytime if you are
willing to make something from this menu.

Namaskara everyone,
          Happy New Year to you all.  I am sure this new year will bring in great progress to our Sirigandha Kannada Sangha .  Speaking of progress, one of the events that we have added to our list is organizing Purandara Dasara Aradhana (well known as the father of Carnatic music) at the Hindu Temple beginning this year in February.  This will be a temple event co-ordinated by the Kannada group.   I am really honored to be a part of  Sirigandha Kannada Sangha as we not only conduct events that we all enjoy and have a good time ( Sports day, Ugadi & Deepavali) we also contribute to our community by organizing events such as Shivarathri and now Purandara Dasara Aradhana. The event will include singing  of Purandara Daasa kritis  by adults and kids.  This Year it will be held on February 9th , from 9:30 am to 12 noon followed by Boxed Lunches. We are expecting about 100-125 people (kids & adults ) on that day.  We would be needing help with the preparation of  food where the  Sirigandha Kannada Sangha members  would make a small portion . Deep Kashyap will send out an email on the same regarding what needs to be prepared and the portion.          Further, beginning this week we are planning to have practice of  Purandara Dasa Kritis at Deepa Kashyap's place. These songs will be sung on the Aradhana day.  Deepa will send the details regarding the timing and the song . We kindly request wholehearted particpation and don't worry if you feel you are not well versed with carnatic music ( I am in the same loop too, however I am participating, being bold here) .
